Special classes like martial arts break casters and archers, magic attacks shred armored units, and bows counter fliers. Swords break axes, axes break lances, and lances break swords. The combat mechanic in Fire Emblem Engage works like Rock, Paper, Scissors. Each unit has strengths and weaknesses you’ll need to plan around. You’ll have to position your armies and plan how to defeat hordes of enemies without having your units bite the dust. Here, you’ll be taking part in turn-based strategy encounters. The battles in Fire Emblem Engage are the main draw of the franchise.
